Top things to do in the Area
The Glamping site is located about two kilometres from Thomastown and there is a lovely river walk into town. The river affords an opportunity for fishing, canoeing and river swimming, (a new swimming spot has been developed with a lifeguard on duty in July/August). Thomastown is a vibrant town with a rich heritage and an arty feel. Nearby Kilfane Glen and Waterfall is also a wonderful attraction.

As well as Thomastown being within easy reach, the glampsite is also near to the beautiful village of Inistioge. home to Woodstock Gardens which provides a wonderful natural playground for children, Graiguenamanagh is another nearby town, where you can avail of water activities like canoeing on the river Barrow. Mount Juliet estate is also nearby where horse riding is available or you can walk the beautiful grounds. Bennettsbridge is a ten minute drive, home to Nicholas Mosse Pottery and Nore Valley Farm.

Visit the medieval city of Kilkenny with its famous castle and newly opened medieval mile museum. There is also plenty of opportunities for shopping and indoor activities like swimming and bowling. Waterford is also a short drive away and gateway to the Southeast’s beautiful beaches and the cycling and walking opportunities offered by the Waterford Greenway,
New Ross is about a 25 minute drive, with its famous Dunbrody famine ship and nearby Hook Head coastal drive taking in the beaches or Duncannon, Arthurstown and Hook head Lighthouse. Castlecomer Discovery Park is another great attraction with its range of outdoor activities and is just over 30 minutes drive away.
